However, at the 7th month, the 22-year-old expectant mother was informed that her baby’s life was under threat.
The chances of the child’s survival were only 20%.
What happened next can be called nothing but a miracle.
“I was crying all the time. I wanted to scream in anger.
But then I became determined and began to fight for my baby,” the girl said.
At 18 weeks, doctors found that Ashley had little water, and the child had a 3-week delay in development.
The girl was sent to the doctors, who reported disappointing news – the chances of survival in the fetus were equal to 20%.
Thanks to the efforts of doctors and the willpower of the expectant mother, it became possible to prolong the pregnancy for another 10 weeks.
At week 26, specialists discovered another problem – the blood supply to the umbilical cord was very weak.
Ashley was informed that she was going to have a miscarriage in a day, but, fortunately, this did not happen.
By 29 weeks, the fetus weighed 464 grams, although it developed somewhat slower than before.
On June 20, Ashley had an urgent Caesarean section, as specialists found her to have a complete absence of amniotic fluid.
The girl, who was named Adali, was born prematurely – her weight was only 411 grams.
However, in addition to the lack of weight, no malformations were found in the baby.
Doctors said that it is a real miracle when a child with such a weight is born absolutely healthy.
Little Adali spent several weeks in the perinatal center.
During this time, she gained more than two kilograms, got stronger and went home together with her loving parents.
