Twins start their life together, and after nine months in the womb, they enter our world together. Therefore, their bond is particularly intense throughout their whole life.
Netizens were smitten while watching a YouTube video of two baby twins, a boy, and a girl, wrapping their arms around each other while enjoying a post-birth bath!
The two newborn babies are hugging during a Thalasso baby bath, or “Thalasso bain bébé”.
The idea behind this kind of bath is to mimic their life inside the womb. The babies hug and float in the arms and hands of an adult, and they look calm and happy while water streams over their tiny bodies.
The video was shot in 2015 at a maternity clinic and has amassed over 20 million views. People cannot get enough of the love shared by the newborn twins, completely unaware that they had even been born yet.
This is why a French nurse at the Clinique de Muette in France, with over 30 years of experience, Sonia Rochel, developed the Thalasso baby bath.
This relaxing bath soothes this entry into the world, and it shows parents that bath time can be a relaxing event for everyone.
Just after birth, Rochel gives babies a warm bath with a gentle flow of water over their head and eyes, and massages the babies for 15 minutes, without the use of any gels or creams.
While she does not recommend parents to try it at home without prior training and knowledge, she encourages them to make bath time a restorative nighttime routine.
She explained that she was trained to give babies a short bath after birth like all other nurses, and always wondered why they did not seem to like it.
Yet, one day, while she was showering, she realized how much she enjoyed the water that was streaming on her face. She was convinced that babies would love it too.Powered
Therefore, she tried massaging the babies with running water, and she noticed they moved just like they did while in the womb.
She believes that this allows them to remember their life before birth. Rochel also incorporates music into the technique and claims that 90% of babies are no longer crying after the bath.
The Thalasso Baby Bath is reserved for newborn babies between 0-2 months of age, and there are now certified professionals in Quebec, Canada, that perform this technique.
